It was a huge day yesterday and I'm so thankful for all the wonderful people that graced the garden with their presence yesterday.

It's so lovely to get so much interest in the plants I grow and advance orders for big pots of colour and other plants for gifts.

Here are the gorgeous new chickens that needed a new home and have come to live here.

And one is a rooster who is crowing as I write this. I was trying to figure what the sound was about 4am. He'll need a ladder for my other chooks.

The new girls will be kept separate as my girls are a little too big and bossy.

Ranunclus I adore you. Today was a productive day

Ranunclus I adore you.
Today was a productive day with my favourite local.boys helping collect mulch and cow poo. Moving an empty tank ready for growing sweet potatoes after bagging all.compost.

Then this arvo.I took delivery of 5 rather gorgeously petite Bantam hens and 1 tiny rooster. From a local who needed to rehome them.

The reason I can do this is support from wonderful people who come to my produce stall and buy plants and produce and all the super people who buy online plants via my website. This means I can stay here and care for these lovely new friends and the 20 other feathered friends.

Photos to come soon, I just wanted to give them settle in time for a bit.

I am planning a new area for them and need to create some good summer shade for them.

A quick bouquet made up for a lovely local family who has lost a loved one. I'm sad for them being unallowed to travel, it's heartbreaking. I am sending them lots of love.

This morning I'm boxing up Dahlia orders of the Special named and identified varieties which I'm only selling via my website.

Ones like "Pink Empress", "Deep Purple", purple and white Bicolour and "Burgundy Berry".

Planning on listing more today as time permits. Still recovering from a huge town day yesterday. I'm a one person run business so it's challenging keeping on top of it all.

Preparing for Produce stall, preparing to plant Dahlias, managing animals etc all keeps me not at all bored shall I say. It's funny almost when someone says I need to paint my house haha.

But I always make time to stop and pull injured animals and dead animals off the road.

You've got to love your own homegrown pumpkin that

You've got to love your own homegrown pumpkin that was harvested March I think and has lasted this long, lovely and dry and full of delicious flavour.

I'd say it's an Ironbark cross with a Queensland Blue, anyone agree or other ideas??.

Some pumpkin Seeds may be listed on www.tranquilgarden.com.au where I now have local pickup available for locally grown vegetables, mine and other locals wonderful produce.

Funny thing is most of this will go into Miss Miranda's special food, some for me but it's cooked and added to meat and greens and blended. It's a lot of work but it's worth it to keep her happy and healthy..

Finally have both Peony rose plants into the groun

Finally have both Peony rose plants into the ground instead of in pots.
It's so nice to get things I've been planning to do for years done.

Less trips to town means more energy as I always feel drained and it feels as if it takes days to recover. Then there is a saving too so I have a little more $ to use for things I need.

So it's a chance now especially to work even harder towards my dream.

But there are so many distractions and tasks, liming the chook and duck pens, visit elderly friend, watering, repotting updating website, replanting, repotting, more cuttings to take, fencing.

Then there's The Produce stall which I'm giving a go at running online to simplify it in long run, definitely not simple at moment.

And of course helping any animals in distress,pouch checking and pulling dead animals off road to prevent secondary kills.

Who has time for housework.

No it's the old house yard fencing. Panky pulled it out after Matt and I cut it off all the posts etc.

Boy it was a big day. Thank you to Matt for his super human efforts and to Panky and his tractor.

New fencing is getting there but to be continued.
