Potatoes hilled this morning and Dahlias planted into prepared soil with lots of old cow manure. A good gap.in between as they are not good to.plant together, so a few rows of scattered corn in between. Hoping to sneak a few bean plants in here too.

Garlic and onions doing well. Will revamp.brassica area at back in middle and add compost then plant Zuchinni.

Potted up a few trays of Flowering lovelies like Federation Daisies, Hydrangeas, .Mini Shasta Daisies, then potted up.Sweet potato runners as well.

Miranda and Smudges special.food made up for two days.

Just finished updating website a bit, getting ebay orders ready. Now to get ready for gardening work in.town tomorrow then need to check cow water, top up Chook bedding and then redo all chook and duck water.

Here are the gorgeous new chickens that needed a new home and have come to live here.

And one is a rooster who is crowing as I write this. I was trying to figure what the sound was about 4am. He'll need a ladder for my other chooks.

The new girls will be kept separate as my girls are a little too big and bossy.

Ranunclus I adore you. Today was a productive day

Ranunclus I adore you.
Today was a productive day with my favourite local.boys helping collect mulch and cow poo. Moving an empty tank ready for growing sweet potatoes after bagging all.compost.

Then this arvo.I took delivery of 5 rather gorgeously petite Bantam hens and 1 tiny rooster. From a local who needed to rehome them.

The reason I can do this is support from wonderful people who come to my produce stall and buy plants and produce and all the super people who buy online plants via my website. This means I can stay here and care for these lovely new friends and the 20 other feathered friends.

Photos to come soon, I just wanted to give them settle in time for a bit.

I am planning a new area for them and need to create some good summer shade for them.

A quick bouquet made up for a lovely local family who has lost a loved one. I'm sad for them being unallowed to travel, it's heartbreaking. I am sending them lots of love.

This morning I'm boxing up Dahlia orders of the Special named and identified varieties which I'm only selling via my website.

Ones like "Pink Empress", "Deep Purple", purple and white Bicolour and "Burgundy Berry".

Planning on listing more today as time permits. Still recovering from a huge town day yesterday. I'm a one person run business so it's challenging keeping on top of it all.

Preparing for Produce stall, preparing to plant Dahlias, managing animals etc all keeps me not at all bored shall I say. It's funny almost when someone says I need to paint my house haha.

But I always make time to stop and pull injured animals and dead animals off the road.
