Miranda is doing ok. I see an old behaviour every day return, like a yawn today.

But as I said to my friend Barbara, Miranda's godmother, Miranda still hasn't talked to me. She would normally do a grumbly sort of "owrowrow" at me when we were outside.

She's running at about 60% of her usual self. I want my exhurberant girl back, the one who would sleep beside me most nights. We can't do that as she is still a bit stiff.and clumsy.

Mrs Mountain Brushtail Possum was not happy with m

Mrs Mountain Brushtail Possum was not happy with me this morning. She legged it with her new Joey and adolescent to the rafters.

I was fixing , well kinda with a pillowcase full of soil that I threw onto the roofing iron and bent the sheet back. It's a temporary fix so the possums didn't get disturbed.

All they eat is the odd orange and Eureka lemons. Oh and they love the china pears and Persimmons.

Please watch for Redneck Wallaby Joey's, there are newly emerging ones testing their legs with zoomies. So drive slower and save vehicle damage too.

It's been a wonderful weekend with Dahlia seed, Dahlia tuber. 🌺🏵️and Seville orange 🍊🍊 orders flooding in.

It's so incredible to know it's developed into what I've been dreaming, planning and working on for the last 10 years.

For me it's about flowers, fresh produce, helping rescue domestic and native animals.

Then also being able to offer my friends who are parents a safe place for their children to take some time out. And for me to enjoy their company and enjoy being silly with them.

I want to keep doing just this but more of it,

The gorgeous local ladies I'm so blessed to have in my life, wise women, generous souls and accepting of my unusual ways.

So yesterday myself and another local lady had the privilege of caring for the gorgeous Stella and her puppies. I didn't want to use flash so sorry no puppy pics yet.

She's a gentle caring mother and easy to work with.

Thank you thank you thankyou , bless all the people who have supported me whilst I've been nursing Miss Miranda back to health.

The wonderful family with two gorgeous boys I love to bits who have done shopping for me, gave me a magnesium drink that helps me get back to sleep during the 1 to 2 hourly trips outside and so much more.

My gorgeous gardening client who has been ok with me not getting to work in her garden. So missing it and I've got to get to the roses asap.

The other local lady who pretty much saved Miranda's life. She works sooo hard and has had recent heartbreak and I look forward to helping create her field of flowers fantasy this year.

The local community for buying produce and plants and helping me pay back the $ I borrowed for the massive vet bill.

All the fabulous people who have bought Seville oranges, seeds, Dahlia tubers via eBay, my website or by contacting me via phone. That has helped enormously.

So very grateful. I'm sending you all love, light and happiness.

I answered a question about laying in a Chook group regarding hens not laying in winter. This was my answer.

I like to know my girls get a break from laying. It's nice to think the calcium that is depleted from egg laying gets replaced during this time. So it's a great opportunity for you to feed calcium rich foods and know when they start laying again they have good calcium stores. I feed calcium rich foods in many forms like shellgrit, crushed baked eggs shells, yoghurt, garden greens. By doing this when protein rich food is offered it can help protect against egg binding , thin egg shells etc.

The Broccoli and Cauliflower are doing nicely. My trick is feeding with my homemade compost every couple of weeks.

It's the best I've ever grown.of course having more time while I'm nursing Miranda back to health helps too.

I sell my homemade organic compost for $10 a good sized feed bag. It's full of cow, chicken and duck manure. It's available to pickup here in Elands, please message me as I have a few bags ready to go.

Magic morning light. I spotted one of the resident

Magic morning light. I spotted one of the resident Kookaburras in the bare Pear tree.

Now it's midnight and sleep isn't coming easily. Too much going on in my head from a world that needs to stop and think more about how actions can affect others.

Tried the warm milk, will next read my book again then a bath may be next step.

But when I do get to sleep Miranda will need to go outside. The medication she's on makes her drink more hence more trips outside.

But I love my Doggy daughter, my Cat son and all the other furred and feathered friends that have a forever home here.

I'll go about my day but I've been a bit zombie like.

I'm so grateful to local kindness it really stands out in a world where it's lacking.
